Can I eat and drink as normal?
Yes — just be gentle around the gem, especially in the first 24 hours, and avoid biting down hard on the area while it settles.
How do I remove a gem?
Gems can be gently removed at home, or by a dental professional if you'd prefer. If you have any trouble, get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
How do I remove my gem?
How long does a MoonRock gem last?
Gems are temporary and typically last up to around two weeks, though it varies from person to person depending on your enamel and how the gem is applied. Some last longer, some come off sooner — especially if you pick or play with it. You can brush and eat as normal while wearing one.
What's included in the kit?
Every kit comes with everything you need to apply at home: your gems, dental-grade cleansing gel, UV bonding resin, an LED curing light, and an applicator, along with step-by-step instructions.
Can I reuse the gems or the kit?
Gems can't be reused once they come off, but your kit contains enough resin, gel and gems for multiple applications. To keep your resin working its best, store it somewhere cool and dark, away from sunlight and UV.
Does it hurt to apply?
Not at all application is completely painless and genuinely fun. You may notice mild, temporary tooth sensitivity afterwards, similar to how teeth can feel after whitening. Just follow the instructions carefully and keep the gel and resin away from your gums.
How do I apply my gem?
In short: clean and dry the tooth, buff it with the cleansing gel, apply the resin to the exact spot, position your gem, then cure it with the LED light. Full step-by-step instructions are in every kit. Take your time on your first one it gets easier fast.
